JEMMA HARDY

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER IN THE HIVE LEVEL 3

Hello I’m Jemma,

I started my career in childcare nearly 10 years ago, as an apprentice in a nursery in Bristol before I got my first job in a nursery as an assistant in Bath. I became the Nest leader in August 2011 from the start of Free Rangers which has been an amazing journey so far. I left in January to go on my maternity leave and I am now glad to be back to return to the Nest as a part time nursery nurse.

I cannot wait until my little boy joins The Nest where he can have as much fun here as I do, to explore the environment, climb trees, build dens, learn through nature and the great outdoors and make friends along the way. I love being creative and experimenting with a wide range of activities to explore and I enjoy just observing how children learn so much through play and progress as they grow up.

Favourite tree: Oak Tree

Favourite forest animal: A Badger

Favourite season: Spring, the beautiful colours of fresh flowers, leaves budding on the trees and new life beginning.
