Easter Forest School Holiday Club

Another Forest School Holiday Club has been and gone, and it was a terrific success! We are happy to announce the booking form is now open to anyone who would like to book for our Easter sessions:

- 7th to the 10th Apr @ Free Rangers, Welton (BA3 2BL)

- 14th to the 17th Apr @ All Hallows Prep School, Cranmore (BA3 4SF)

Across the 4 days in February we had some pretty rough weather predicted, which largely never arrived much to our annoyance. But on the whole the week has a terrific success! Well done to all the children, especially to some of the newer members who did terrifically. I was very proud of them. We spent 2 days at All Hallows as well as on site at Free Rangers too, and each day brought something different. It never ceases to amaze me at how the children can take your planning and turn it on its head into something else, creating their own games and activities off the back my own. Without a doubt Bows and Arrows, although not planned for, were the biggest hit and the children learnt many different skills through this activity: gross and fine motor skills, tool knowledge, knots and tension, and hand eye coordination were all tested in order to make their bows. A little adult assistance was needed but the children soon got to grips with how to fire the arrows, and their aim was pretty good!

We are looking forward to more of the same in Easter so do book on now to avoid missing out! In the meantime, why not see some of the photos from February's woodland fun!

See you in the woods!
